Our gold jewelry requires periodic cleaning, once every 2-3 weeks, and will not tarnish or corrode. Avoid exposing gold jewelry to bleach, which will quickly cause gold to discolor and possibly damage. Rare chemical reactions can occur with lotions, oil, perfume, etc.

For our plated gold over sterling silver jewelry:

1. Avoid getting the jewelry wet with water, soap, perfume, lotion and other chemicals. If the jewelry does get wet, wipe it immediately with a soft cloth

2. Avoid getting the jewelry wet with sweat. Remove the jewelry when you are going to engage in strenuous physical activity.

3. Remove the plated jewelry when you sleep at night to reduce contact with bare skin.

4. Store the jewelry in a dry place. Also, it is best to store the plated jewelry separate from other plated jewelry (either you keep them in individual plastic pouches or separate them in the jewelry box).


In general, plating can last for up to two years with proper care. The best way to deal with tarnished pieces is to have the piece replated when required.
Please inquire as we can offer courtesy  replating of jewelry within 1 year of purchase, you would just cover

Each piece is made to order via our offices in downtown Los Angeles. Please allow up
to 2-3 weeks (excluding holidays) for production, shipping thereafter. If you
have a special deadline for pieces, please reach out to us via our email: Additional fees may occur for rushed production, if it can be done. Please inquire.

Additional production and shipping delays may occur due to restrictions mandated during the pandemic.

We ship all of our items via FedEx or UPS. If you prefer the latter due to your area, please reach out before completing your purchase. When your order is ready to ship, you will receive a confirmation email including your FEDEX or UPS tracking number to follow along its route.

Shipping fees include insurance on all shipment orders. For legal purposes, the value of your shipment is non-negotiable and
must directly reflect the cost of the jewelry to avoid possible abandonment and/or loss of package. 

All international shipments, ship via FedEx including the necessary paperwork to proceed through customs.

We strive to make and send our pieces to our

However, if your package is lost while in transit, please reach out to us and we will do our best to assist and/or in filing a claim. Note: We do require a signature for delivery. If you would like to waive the signature required, please reach out to us before completing your purchase.

Here at Mae + Lang Jewels, we strive to provide
the best customer service. However, as each piece is made to order, outside of
repairs and issuing a claim for defect, we do not accept returns. If your piece
has been damaged or is defective, please email us at for
a repair within 24 hrs from receiving your order. Custom pieces/lengths/sizes cannot be returned
unless the item is damaged or we made a mistake within production.

If you cancel your order within 24 hours of purchasing, you will receive a refund. However, after 24 hours you are subject to a 50% restocking fee. Custom pieces/lengths/sizes cannot be cancelled
after 24 hrs.

Note: Once ordered and purchased, pieces immediately goes into production.


We do offer custom lengths, which may be subject to an additional fee . Please contact us at Prices will vary. Custom pieces/lengths/sizes cannot be returned.

If you have received your piece, but it is too tight, it can be adjusted! You would be responsible for shipping fees to and from our offices. Please note, an additional fee may apply to modify sizing or length. Additional details will be sent, once inquired. Note: Production takes 2-3 weeks once we receive your modified order. Our rings are standard US sizes. If you don’t know your US sizes, we highly suggest getting sized by a local jeweler. We cannot be responsible for determining your ring size. We also offer custom sizing if you are in between, for more comfort (ie. 6.75 OR 7.25 - please inquire).
